JAKARTA, Indonesia - ACG School Jakarta's Class of 2026 has once again reflected the school's tradition of developing confident, well-rounded graduates ready to make their mark in the world. The school's largest-ever IB Diploma cohort achieved an average IB score of 33.5, consistent with the school's strong performance in recent years.

This year’s cohort reflected the full diversity of the ACG School Jakarta community, bringing together local and international students with distinct backgrounds, interests and aspirations as they completed the final two years of the IB Diploma Programme. Two students particularly exemplified this breadth: Devansh, an international student, achieved the cohort’s highest score of 43 out of 45, while Zavier, an Indonesian student, achieved an outstanding 42 out of 45.

Devansh's result reflects an approach built on curiosity and discipline. Physics was his favourite subject, and he brought the same energy to performing in school plays, making music and playing football as he did to his studies. He will study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Manchester (UoM).

“Devansh brought real intellectual curiosity and discipline to everything he did,” said Kieran Pascoe, ACG School Jakarta's Diploma Coordinator. “A score of 43, and a place at UoM to study Aerospace Engineering, is exactly the kind of outcome that reflects the work he’s put in over these past two years.”

Zavier built his results on a different combination of strengths. Chemistry was his favourite subject, and he's also a talented musician, performing at his own ACG School Jakarta graduation. He will study Chemical Engineering at the University of Indonesia.

“My academic journey has taught me that achievement is not only about studying harder, but studying smarter - understanding concepts deeply, asking questions, and reviewing consistently,” Zavier said.

Their results, and their differing backgrounds, speak to something the wider cohort reflected too, that an ACG School Jakarta education prepares every student for excellence, no matter where they've come from or where they're headed next.

Principal Myles D'Airelle, Diploma Coordinator Kieran Pascoe and University Counsellor Brian Chesher work with every student throughout their final two years, helping each identify the subject combinations and university strategies suited to their own goals - with a tailored IB Courses route available for students whose plans don't call for the full Diploma.

“We've made a real effort to get our students talking directly to universities,” said Myles D'Airelle, Principal of ACG School Jakarta. “That way, when they sit down to write a personal statement, they’re not just guessing what admissions teams want to hear, they can focus on genuinely explaining why they want to study a particular subject, which makes for a much stronger application.”

For Mr. D'Airelle, this year's cohort is proof of something the school has always believed: that strong results come from students who are resilient, curious and genuinely invested in their own growth.

“What stands out to me about this group isn’t just the scores at the top,” he said. “It’s the maturity they’ve shown getting there — the late nights, the tough feedback, the support they’ve leaned on from family and teachers alike. A score of 43, a strong run of bilingual diplomas, students heading to universities in Indonesia and abroad - that’s what two years of hard work and genuine curiosity can build.”

That balance between academic achievement and personal growth is something Mr. D'Airelle sees as core to the IB itself.

“Every one of our graduates has had to balance their academics with service, sport and the performing arts,” he added. “That balance is what shapes an IB student, and it’s exactly the kind of well-rounded young person we want ACG School Jakarta to send out into the world.”

As these graduates step into the next chapter of their lives, they take with them more than an IB Diploma, they carry the confidence and sense of purpose that come from years spent as part of the ACG School Jakarta community.
